The Super-pressure Hydraulic Coupling TBM is developed by YREC and CREG. A 300 MPa pressure jet system coupling with conventional disk cutters is adopted to create hydraulic splitting for decomposing rocks, relieving partial peripheral pressure and achieving efficient breaking of rocks. Project practices show the coupling boring can make the thrust of TBM disk cutters be reduced by 30% to 40%, significantly improve the TBM driving efficiency, and effectively reduce the wear of main bearing and disk cutters.

The product is an upgrade of national major construction machinery, provides solution to the world’s problem of TBM’s “slow advancing and serious wear” in extremely hard rocks, and realizes the efficient mode-based advancing of TBM under various geological conditions.
