YREC started to provide surveying and mapping services in 1933. The professional team of surveying & mapping and geographic information undertook business all over China with a focus on the Yellow River Basin. In 1995, the team obtained the Class-A National Qualification Certificate for Surveying and Mapping firstly issued in China. In 1998, as one of the first batch, National Excellent Surveying and Mapping Team was awarded by the state authority. YREC was one of the leading teams amongst the Top 100 Enterprises in China’s Geographic Information Industry successively for the last five years.

The company possesses the Class-A National Qualification Certificate for Surveying and Mapping in a complete range of specialties, including seven major specialties of geodesy, engineering surveying, photogrammetry and remote sensing, aerial photography, boundary and real estate surveying and mapping, geographic information system and map compilation, as well as 43 sub-specialties. Besides, it possesses the Class-B qualification in marine surveying and mapping and Internet map service. 41 employees qualify as the national registered surveyor. And the company participated in the preparation and approval of the Code for Surveying of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering and other standards of China.

YREC has fruitful achievements in surveying and mapping, among which many have won national and ministerial awards for science and technology progress and outstanding achievements.
