Xiaolangdi Dam Project is located at the outlet of the last valley in the middle reaches of the Yellow River to the north of Luoyang City. It is the only controlling project with a large reservoir storage downstream of Sanmenxia on the main stem Yellow River. It is an extra-large water project which serves for flood control, ice jam control, sedimentation reduction and other purposes of irrigation, water supply and power generation.

The large scale and complex terrain conditions make the surveying and mapping work extremely difficult. By use of advanced equipment, development of related computer software, and application of advanced operation methods, our company overcame difficulties in the whole-process surveying for topographic maps, construction control network and dam exterior deformation, providing reliable basic surveying and mapping data for the smooth construction and safe operation of the Project.

The construction control network outcomes for the Project won the 7th National Excellent Investigation Silver Award, and the dam exterior deformation measurement outcomes won the 9th National Excellent Engineering Investigation Gold Award.
