Yellow River Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “YREC”) is a comprehensive investigation and design institute, founded in 1956, affiliated to Yellow River Conservancy Commission of Ministry of Water Resources, PRC. The scope of business covers a wide range including river basin and regional planning, engineering investigation, design, research, consulting, supervision, project management, general contracting and investment & financing. YREC is awarded more than 10 high grade qualification certificates such as Qualification Class A in Comprehensive Engineering and Design, Qualification Class A in Comprehensive Engineering Investigation, Engineering Consultant Class A for Comprehensive Credit, Consultant Class A for Construction Project EIA, Qualification Grade I in Water Resources and Hydropower Project Construction General Contracting, Consultant for China-Aid Project Feasibility Study, Enterprise for China-Aid Project Implementation. As a national high-tech company, YREC possesses the National Enterprise Technology Center, National Center for Quality Supervision and Test, and Postdoctoral Programme.

YREC has been making great efforts in pursuing first-class services. The projects of river planning, engineering investigation and design are found across China and in more than 30 countries. More than a hundred of harnessing and development plans for the Yellow River main stem and tributaries have been completed, and a big number of large and influential projects are undertaken, represented by Xiaolangdi Dam Project and Guxian Dam Project on the Yellow River, Middle Line Project and Western Line Project of China’s South-to-North Water Transfer Scheme, CCS Hydropower Project in Ecuador, Souapiti Hydropower Project in Guinea and Baleh Hydropower Project in Malaysia. YREC also has outstanding performance in the fields of water ecology and landscape, urban transportation, rail transit, building, environmental protection, new energy, power transmission and smart water management, and in EPC contracting and engineering consulting.

YREC has developed a quality and well-structured team of nearly 2000 employees, including one academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, two national masters in investigation and design, one national expert of “New Century Talents Project”, six Henan provincial masters in investigation and design, one IPMP expert, and 35 experts entitled to the State Council Special Allowance. The competent engineer team includes more than 200 professorship senior engineers and 600 senior engineers with 1400 registered professional qualifications.
