Oyu Tolgoi mine is located in South Gobi province of Mongolia, and YREC is responsible for the design and technical services of the OT mine’s water supply pipeline project working in cooperation with the project managers of US Flour Corporation and Australia MWP. The scope of the project covers all components of the water supply system starting at the outlets of 33 bore pump stations and ending at the outlet of the gravity pipeline running from the raw water lagoon. The buried pipeline of the water supply system is about 75 km long, and the storage capacity of the raw water lagoon is about 400,000 m³. The content of design includes roads, pipelines, fittings, pump stations, equipment, instruments, controls, collection tanks, break tanks, raw water lagoon and electrical transmission lines.

The design of the Project meets relevant technical standards of Mongolia, China and the United States, and satisfies the strict requirements of international project management.
