The total water supply capacity of Chongqing Niutouyan Water Treatment Plant Project amounts to be 100,000 tons/day, and the Project Phase I owns the capacity of 50,000 tons/day with water distribution main pipelines accounting for a length of 21.3 km.

The works include the water treatment plant, water transmission pipelines, booster pump stations and water distribution mains. The water treatment plant adopts the enhanced conventional process of “grid reactor + inclined tube settler + V-shaped filter”, in addition, the advanced treatment unit of “ozone + activated carbon filter”, to ensure the daily supply of quality drinking water for urban residents, in particular, guarantee the water supply during accidental water pollution incidents.
