The planning project involves 12 rivers, 12 reservoirs and 3 lakes, as well as the connecting water systems. The plan covers the urban area, and peripheral towns and counties in total of 1,010 km², which follows the concept of “health and safety, smooth channel with clear water, eco-environmental protection, harmony between people and water”, aiming to build ecological water system patterns involving rivers, reservoirs, lakes and wetlands to achieve multiple functions such as flood control, water supply, ecology, landscape and tourism.
