YREC’s business of power projects spreads all over the country and in Asia, Africa, South America and other regions of the world. The major business covers energy base planning, water resources and hydropower projects, thermal power plant, power transmission and transformation, new energy, information technology and automation. The representative projects include Yellow River Xiaolangdi Dam Project, Yellow River Xixiayuan Dam Project, Huilong Pumped Storage Power Station, CCS Hydropower Project in Ecuador, 230 kV Transmission Line of Lower Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station in Cambodia, 110 kV Power Transmission and Transformation of Chiumbe-Dala Hydropower Project in Angola, Bata Urban Power Grid Expansion and Renovation in Equatorial Guinea, and Guizhou Minghu 220 kV Substation. New energy projects include the life-cycle design of more than 20 centralized solar power plants in desert land and barren mountains and rooftop distributed solar systems, and the design and EPC contracting of more than 10 onshore wind farms.

As chief drafter for five national and industrial standards: Design Code for Selecting Conductor and Electrical Equipment of Water Resources and Hydropower Projects, Design Code for Lighting System of Water Resources and Hydropower Projects, Hydraulic and Hydroelectric Engineering Design Code for High Voltage Electrical Installation, Design Code for Automation of Water Resources and Hydropower Projects，and Design Code for Relaying Protection of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Projects.
