YREC is responsible for construction supervision of the Project. The main structures include the concrete face rockfill dam, spillway, water intake and power generation system, emptying tunnel, discharge conduit for ecological base flow, and emptying steel pipe for the initial operation period. The Project is located at high altitudes in the cold area. The dam has a crest elevation of 3,472 m, a crest length of 365 m and a maximum height of 121.5 m. The spillway weir is in length of 8 m, and the total length of spillway is 186 m. The total reservoir capacity is 162 million m³. The urban domestic and industrial water supply is 131.67 million m³. The installed capacity of the Project is 33 MW, and the mean annual power generation is 99.77 million kWh. The Project passed the completion acceptance in April 2022.
