The Project is one of the major water resources projects constructed in the period of the 13^th Five-Year Plan determined by the State Council of China. It is located in Yiliang County and Shilin County of Kunming City. The irrigation scheme covers a total area of about 25,206 ha, in which 170.83 km long main canals and 385 structures are arranged. The total construction time is 42 months.
